The Wey-Farer 19th of April.

Here you will find my photos of my trip to Weymouth via Westbury and Basingstoke.

Videos of the tour can be found in the videos tab.

57603 idles away at London Paddington before taking the sleeper to the South West.
57605 having brought in the ECS, sits uncoupled at the rear. This 57 as just been repainted into the new First Great Western colour scheme
165122 sits at London Paddington working the 2251 fast Oxford service.
a UID 220 approaches Oxford with an Arriva CrossCountry service.
With a stop at Westbury, the best that could be done was this shot of 20310 and 20307.
59005 sitting at Westbury as we wait for the signal to clear.
The final destination, Weymouth. It's a shame that it was wet otherwise it would have been a much better day if it was actually sunny. But it was still great.
The headboard of the new tour operator "Spitfire".
Something that isn't seen very often, Crewe on the destination boards. Though this will happen again next month, just with 2 33s and by Pathfinder.
57601 about to take the ECS to the sidings to run around as well as the 20s.
The entrance to Weymouth Quay station. I would've taken a shot of the station but the rain was in that direction.
A short walk on from the Quay facing towards the city center.
158794 at Weymouth, this being a 158 that has recently been refurbished.
Just some of the destinations listed on the new livery.
158794 and its reflection against a 444 unit.
57601 bringing in the ECS from the sidings.
The 20s now ready to leave for Crewe via Basingstoke and Reading West Curve.
Time to get those 180s in! A nice end to what was a great day, seeing as one by one or indeed two by two of the units moving to store, it was nice to see one bring me to London. that said, it was only running on 3 engines.
Before I headed of home, time to get that last shot in.
